Laura Husby, School Counselor
Hello, my name is Laura Husby, Hintgen Elementary School Counselor!
I am originally from La Crosse, and I am very excited to come back to the La Crosse School District. I am excited to work with students and families throughout the school year. I have the privilege of working with students in grades PK-5 to support their academic, social, and emotional growth. My roll is to partner with students, families, and staff to help each child feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
At Hintgen, I provide classroom lessons, small group activities, and one-on-one support to build skills such as problem-solving, emotional regulation, friendship, and resilience (among others). I also work closely with families to connect them to resources and help strengthen the home-school partnership. I love being part of the Hintgen community and am dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where all students can thrive.
